Malaysian GPO was installed the first trial unit of PAM - Postal Automated Machine at the federal capital Kuala Lumpur GPO business lobby on November 3, 2009.
This is the first unit of PAM was introducing to all public users, the last Frama system was installed at the same post office on 1987.
The self-adhesive type PAM postage label with three main part, as:
A. Bar code on the left side,
B. Denominated print in Malaysian currency,
C. Thirteen digits code, as:
(1) the first 3 digits as machine code, 001 as Kuala Lumpur GPO,
(2) second 6 digits as issue date, 281109 will represent as November 28, 2009,
(3) the last 4 digits as PAM label print number on the issue date,
The new PAM postage labels will valid for postage use after the issue date, also good for posting at any locations.
